Information and communication Technology (ICT) is an umbrella term that includes all technologies for the manipulation and communication of information. It deals mainly with the uses of tools and techniques to enhance the effectiveness of the teaching - learning process. Educational Technologies (ET) deals mainly with broad theoretical and classroom oriented issues, including processes, while ICT in education largely deals with practical aspect of Educational Technology.
Our lives are so influenced by technology today that it is important that the student must be scientifically and technologically literate. The Department has well equipped computer labs with more than 50 computers. The department follows a curriculum for Information Technology to keep students ahead in this IT-enabled world.
The hi-tech computer lab make the students tech-savvy and keeps them abreast with the latest techniques & that teaches not just computer as a subject, but also, to integrate computer skills in learning and teaching.
