The Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) program is designed to equip future educators with the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to effectively teach students aged 11-17 years at the secondary school level (Classes VI-XII). The course emphasizes a holistic approach to teacher education, integrating both theoretical and practical aspects of teaching. It prepares student-teachers to understand and respond to the diverse sociocultural contexts in which students learn, ensuring that teaching practices are inclusive, participatory, and learner-centered.
Through this program, future teachers will develop a deep understanding of child development, learning processes, and the rights and needs of children. They will be trained to use a variety of pedagogical tools, including Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Arts, Crafts, and Community resources, to enhance the teaching-learning experience across different curricular areas. The program also emphasizes the importance of self-reflection, critical thinking, and continuous professional development, encouraging student-teachers to engage with subject content, social realities, and the unique contexts of their learners.
